Marcus D'Acre trained with Centaurs Rugby from 2010 to 2014.
He went on to represent Canada and Hong Kong at age-grade level, and played fly-half for Queen's University in Canada, where he was named Ontario University Athletics Men's Rugby Player of the Year for 2025. That same year he won the NRL's Las Vegas Combine and signed with the Newcastle Knights, switching codes from rugby union to rugby league.
D'Acre has now signed with Urayasu D-Rocks, a professional club in Japan Rugby League One, which despite the name is rugby union, not league. He returns to the sport he grew up playing, at its top professional level in Japan.
He arrives in good company. Jordan Petaia and Samu Kerevi, both capped Wallabies, and Jasper Wiese, a capped Springbok, all play in the same Urayasu squad. Petaia signed the same year as D'Acre, arriving from Perpignan in France.
